Life...

I haven't posted for the longest time. I still don't have anything new or exciting for anybody to read, but I am thankful for life. I'm thankful for all of the happy moments I get to experience everyday! Sometimes life can get busy and be hard, but it is those hard times that only make us stronger and better, so I am thankful for those moments as well. I am thankful for the church and the blessing it is to me. It gives me strength and a reason to live each day. I'm thankful for my great husband! I couldn't be a happier girl to have him! He's amazing! :) These are just a few of the things I've been thinking about lately. I don't know about any of you, but I find myself getting so caught up in other things I am involved in or "have" to do that I don't take time for the things that are most important to me. So, I apologize to my family and friends for not taking more time to spend with you...I love you all! :)

Pictures from our Girls Night

Girls Night With My Best Friends

I have been needing to post this for quite awhile but I just haven't been in the blogging mood...I finally do though so aren't you all so lucky...hahaha!!! Anyway my Mom, Lisa, Leslie, and myself decided to have a girls night and it was so much fun! I love these girls and have so much fun when I'm with them!!! You are all the greatest!!!

So we decided afterwards that Lisa definitely had the cutest little feet and that I had the most improved feet. I hate my feet and I can only wish I had Lisa's. We all had a ton of fun...it felt so good and who doesn't love hanging out with their sisters and mom...laughing way to much...and getting a good peducure at the same time!!! We need another one sometime soon! :)

Of Course...More Fishing...It's What We Do!

More Pictures From Our Fun Day!

Back For Another Try

We had such a good time fishing last weekend that we decided to go again! This time we went to a lake called Big Meadows and took my brother Clay! He loves to fish and he had a blast...so did Jake and I!!! We had better luck this time. If I remember right Jake caught three fish, Clay caught four, and I caught one! It was the first fish I can remember catching so I was pretty excited. All of the fish we caught were pretty small...but that's better than catching none! We all had a good day and a ton of fun!

First Fishing Trip of the Summer

Jake and I had been wanting to go fishing...we didn't know where to go though so we called my Grandpa Corky and asked him if he had heard of any hot spots! When I called, he told me of a few places and also that he was planning on going fishing the next day too...he invited us to go with him and we took him up! For all who know Grandpa Cork he is one great fisherman! Jake and I were both really excited! We left our house at about 7:30 the next morning and were off for our first fishing trip of the summer. We went up to a place called Shaw Lake first. We had no luck there, so after awhile of trying we decided to go up to Pogue Lake. After a pretty long, bumpy ride, we finally got to the road that lead to Pogue...and it said ROAD CLOSED...the three of us really wanted to go on up so we grabbed our poles and hiked up about 3 miles or so. I was a little worried about Grandpa making it up...but he did with a few stops here and there! When we finally got to the lake we all agreed that we better not get skunked after hiking all the way up. Well...what do you know...we ended up leaving at about 5:30 with only Grandpa catching three tiny fish. The hike back down wasn't as rough for everyone as it was up so that was a plus. Even though Jake and I didn't catch anything it was still a fun day spending time with Grandpa and each other! Catching a few fish would have topped it all off, but being just being outdoors is something we both really enjoy!

2008 NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships

Mt. San Antonio College -- Walnut, California

This was my first outdoor Nationals I have been to and it went pretty well! :) On Thursday, the 22nd of May, I ran the prelim of the steeplechase. It was a crazy day. It was lightening, thundering, and pouring rain like crazy most of the day. The meet kept being postponed. First it was only an hour, then it became two, and then three. So instead of running at 5:50 like I was originally supposed to, it ended up being 8:50. I did end up getting to race though, so that's all that mattered. There were two heats of girls, and the top four placers of each heat and the next four fastest times made it to finals. I was in the 2nd heat so I knew about what kind of time I needed to run in order to make it to finals if I wasn't in the top four. I didn't want to mess with times though so I ended up really kicking it in on the last straightaway and placed 4th in my heat. I ran a PR of 10:47 something...that was about 9 seconds or so better than my best time so I was pretty happy. I made it to finals! I had the next day off (Friday). I did nothing but sit in my hotel room and rest. It was so boring and all I wanted to do was get my race over with. Of course I am not one to just relax and not think about it...I sit and stress about it. Friday came along and it was race day!!! I was excited and ready to go. I knew I had a chance to do well, I just needed to focus and do it! I ended up placing 5th overall and received my second All-American! :)

Click on the link below to see a few pictures of me jumping over the water barrier and into the water! :) They are on the second page and I'm wearing green!!!

Cary Update

Well life is great! Can't complain too much. :) I just finished up with my 2nd year of college and well hopefully only a couple more to go! Jake is about at the same place I am but probably a little bit more. Finals were this week and both of us are relieved to be done for the year. We have both been looking forward to summer! Jake is going to continue working for his brother-in-law at his cabinet shop and I am currently looking for a job...although I really don't want one. So if you hear or know of any good jobs let me know! I will also be busy running as well. I really enjoy summer training so I am looking forward to it! Outdoor track Nationals are in a few weeks (May 22-24) so that is my focus for right now. I took up running the steeplechase for the time being and am really enjoying it! It is a longer race than I have ever run on the track (3K) but I think it's my new race! Jumping over barriers and the water jumps brings something else into running so I seem to like it! I'll keep you updated on how everything turns out...only if I do well though...hahaha...! At the end of the month Jake and I are also planning on moving out of our apartment into the apartments on campus. They are so much smaller...but a lot cheaper...so that trade is ok with me...for now...hahaha! I am looking forward to change and I like to move because I am forced to go through all of my junk and get rid of it! That's all I have for the Cary update today!

Jake the Parasailer

These are just a few pictures of Jake parasailing!

Super Hot Snorkelers

Well I guess you can say while we were in Mexico Jake and I went snorkeling...we atleast attempted...but sadly no cool fish or sea creatures were seen :( Actually, I think Jake said he saw one little tiny fish...how lame though. It was my first time to snorkel so I was pretty bummed to only see rocks. haha I also got to experience sucking up some salt water...no fun. I definitely want to snorkel again so maybe...just maybe Jake will take me again someday! :)

HONEYMOON --- MAZATLAN, MEXICO

Mazatlan was a ton of fun! I thought it was so so pretty there! We took a ton of pictures of the sunset because I was amazed by it. I kept telling Jake, "Look Jake, look at it now...isn't it so pretty...take a picture!" These are just a few of them so I hope you enjoy! We spent a week there and got to do a lot of different things! We went snorkeling, parasailing, jetskiing, and boogie boarding! They were all a first for me and were a ton of fun but boogie boarding was definitely the most fun for both of us! We loved it!!!

The Girls @ the Wedding

These are just a few pictures with me my sisters at our wedding! They were some of the funnest pictures to take...my favorite is the one that is second from the top! Gotta love it! Notice everyone's funny faces. There is Leslie with her eyes closed...haha sorry Les...Lisa laughing so hard she's about to cry...me just taking it all in...Michelle giving me bunny ears...and Brittny just being the PERFECT little girl she is. I love all of the pictures actually but I also want to point out the one on the bottom here. I think Lisa either just pinched Leslie's butt or was getting ready too. We were all laughing so hard and of course...Brittny was just peeking around the corner to check it all out! Hahaha! Sisters are the greatest and I couldn't live without them. Oh the fun we have together. Thanks to my Aunt Jess, we have a ton of great pictures!

A Few Wedding Pics :)
